Array’s AVX Series Network Functions Platforms Named a Finalist for Best Hybrid Cloud Solution in 2018-2019 Cloud Awards

Array’s innovative approach eliminates the compromise between performance and agility for enterprise and service-provider data centers

Milpitas, Calif. – Dec. 20, 2018 Array Networks Inc., the network functions platform company, today announced that the company’s AVX Series Network Functions Platforms have been declared a finalist in the 2018-2019 Cloud Awards in the Best Hybrid Cloud Solution category. The AVX platforms combine the best attributes of dedicated hardware, virtualization and software-centric computing to create an environment that provides guaranteed performance for virtual networking and security virtual appliances.

The cloud computing awards program celebrates success and innovation in the cloud computing industry. The awarding body accepts applications from organizations of any size worldwide, from start-ups to established multinationals.

With the network functions platform, organizations can transition to an agile approach based on virtual appliances without sacrificing the performance needed for business-critical networking and security applications. Racks of legacy gear can be consolidated to reduce space, power, cooling and cabling costs. Services can be provisioned on-demand with support for guaranteed SLAs.

The AVX Series can host Array application delivery virtual appliances, or host virtual appliances from best-of-breed networking and security vendors, or host open-source solutions. With Array’s virtualized hardware environment and a growing ecosystem of platform partners, businesses and MSPs can finally reconcile their desire for agility with their need for performance.

“Enterprises and service providers are adopting a virtual approach to network and security functions to gain agility and operational efficiencies, and the network functions platforms offer an innovative hybrid cloud solution to support this transformation,” said Milind Kulkarni, senior director of product management for Array Networks. “The Array team has worked tirelessly to create a solution that addresses the critical pain points of enterprises and service providers alike, and we are delighted to be recognized as one of the leaders in the hybrid cloud movement.”
